INTERNET SAFETY WEEK: Week beginning Monday 6th February 2023
The Internet has become an integral part of children’s lives, enabling them to undertake research for school projects, talk to their friends and access information from around the world. Increasing provision of the Internet in and out of schools brings with it the need to ensure that all our families are safe.
At Newfold, we take online safety, both in school and at home, very seriously. Our children engage in Online Safety lessons termly, we take part in the annual Safer Internet Day and our Digital Leads regularly lead assemblies for the different phases of school.
To support this, in the 2022/2023 academic year we will provide on-line parent workshops through 'Smoothwall'. These workshops will address current on-line issues and give families the most up-to-date advice in keeping children safe whilst on-line.
These will take place during the Autumn term. Date: TBA
In the 2022/2023 academic year, and again in partnership with 'Smoothwall', we will providing workshops for all phases of school that will highlight the importance of on-line safety. These will take place during Internet Safety Week on Monday 6th February 2023.
